We have been nominated for the Marketing and PR Agency of the Year Award at this year’s City of Liverpool Business Awards!

What are the City of Liverpool Business Awards?

Hosted by Downtown in Business, the COLBA’s is all about celebrating the businesses and people who make Liverpool’s economy survive and thrive. The awards recognise companies, entrepreneurs, and leaders who are deserving of recognition because of their contributions to the city and its business landscape.

Each year, the event brings together Liverpool’s business community for a night of awards, networking, dancing, and celebration. This year’s event will take place in the picturesque Sefton Park Palm House on Thursday, 3rd July 2025, with professionals from the property, professional services, hospitality, tech, legal, and media sectors in attendance.

Our recent business growth

Andrew Colwell has recently joined the Moore Media team as Managing Director, bringing 25 years of senior leadership experience on both client and agency side, working across public and private sectors with FTSE 100 and PLC organisations including Innovate UK, the Co-op, Warwickshire County Council and Royal Albert Hall.

During his career, Andrew has delivered significant revenue increases, transformational change and scale-up growth within the SME sector, while gaining valuable insight into solution based approaches for sustainability and the wider net-zero journey for the likes of Newcastle University, Brent Council, Tesco and the NHS. He is also a serving board member of the Liverpool City Region Sustainable Property and Construction Group.

Andrew sits alongside Head of Marketing, Leanne Howard, who comes with 22 years of marketing experience at some of the UK’s most well known high street brands including Matalan, The Very Group, Iceland and M&S.

Leanne managed Matalan’s creative production team through rebrand campaigns and oversaw the photography and POS strategy, which set the creative direction for over 200 stores.

She has worked on campaigns with brand ambassadors including Mark Wright, Abbey Clancy and Denise Van Outen and was involved in the Matalan and Alder Hey Charity partnership for ten years, which in that time raised £4.2m.

With the strength of our new leadership, Moore Media has rebranded to reflect its new bold, brave ambitions.

CEO of Moore Media, Jayne Moore, stated:

“Andrew and Leanne will drive forward the growth of our team and services to match our new brand. This is a statement of our ambition to grow alongside our clients and remain the standout leaders in our field.”

Moore Media is already celebrating numerous client wins in the last two quarters, including The Martin Gallier Project, Qube Residential and Millfield Estates

Our marketing achievements

One of our standout campaigns this year was Sutcliffe’s 40th-anniversary rebrand and marketing campaign. Celebrating four decades in business, we crafted a strategic campaign that portrayed their legacy and positioned them as an industry leader. We highlighted their role in shaping the built environment across Liverpool and the wider north west region and beyond since 1985. Sutcliffe’s milestone was recognised and amplified across all digital marketing resources.

We’re also proud to be the go-to PR partner for major global industry events like MIPIM (Le Marché International des Professionnels de l’Immobilier). We tailor itineraries to best fit our clients and maximise the opportunities available to them. Our CEO, Jayne Moore, and Communications Director, Naomi Taylor, attended MIPIM with our clients to make sure they are consistently visible throughout, making great connections and communicating their service offering.

Our PR Wins

We position our clients as thought leaders and authoritative voices in their industries. An example of this is our work with Sean Keyes, CEO of Sutcliffe. We secured his appearance on BBC Morning Live for a documentary on rogue building contractors, where he shared expert insights on how minor accreditations can be fraudulently obtained. This placement reinforced Sutcliffe’s expertise while shedding light on a crucial industry issue. This is an example of the real-world impact of our PR delivery.

Moore Media consistently secures high-profile media coverage for our clients in top-tier national publications, including the Daily Mirror, Daily Express, and The Telegraph, as well as leading trade titles. Our network of journalist contacts and our natural ability to craft compelling narratives and pitch them to the right publications make our clients’ voices heard on a national scale.

We also played a pivotal role in the launch of Starship’s September House at the Labour Party Conference, a groundbreaking zero-bills, sustainable modular home built in just three days, positioned in the bustling Royal Albert Dock. By creating a PR strategy that highlighted its innovation and sustainability, we generated significant media interest spanning across multiple online, print and broadcast channels.

Moore Media kickstarted the ‘Save Zoe’s Place’ campaign, helping to raise vital awareness and funds for a new state-of-the-art specialist building to care for children with complex needs. By rallying public support, we helped drive this incredibly important cause.
